Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our therapy services, confidentiality, and how we can support your mental health journey.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can benefit anyone looking to improve their mental health, work through life challenges, or develop better coping strategies. If you're experiencing stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply want to better understand yourself, therapy could be helpful. We offer an initial consultation to discuss your needs and determine if our services are a good fit.

Is my information kept completely confidential?

Absolutely. Confidentiality is fundamental to our practice. We follow strict ethical standards and legal requirements to protect your privacy. Information shared in therapy sessions remains confidential, with rare exceptions only when there's a serious risk of harm. We use secure technology for online sessions and maintain professional standards for data protection.

What therapy services do you offer?

We provide Individual Therapy for adults and young people (12+), Couple Therapy for relationship support, and Systemic Psychotherapy for understanding family and relationship dynamics. We also offer specialised support for ADHD/Autism (pre/post diagnosis). All services are available both in-person in the Rochford area and through secure online sessions.

How long are therapy sessions and how often do they occur?

Each therapy session is 60 minutes long. Initially, we typically meet weekly to establish a strong therapeutic relationship and maintain momentum. As progress is made, sessions may become less frequent based on your needs and goals. The frequency and duration of therapy varies for each individual.

Do you offer online therapy sessions?

Yes, we offer secure online therapy sessions. Our online platform ensures privacy and confidentiality while providing the convenience of accessing therapy from your own space. Many clients find online sessions more accessible and comfortable.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about your goals, concerns, and what you hope to achieve. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and see if you feel comfortable working together. There's no pressure - it's all about finding the right fit.

How much do sessions cost?

We believe in transparent pricing and will discuss fees during your initial consultation. We offer rates for both individual and couple therapy. Please contact us directly to discuss pricing options and any potential payment plans that might be available.

Do you provide support for ADHD and Autism?

Yes, we offer specialised support for individuals with ADHD and Autism, whether you have a formal diagnosis, are awaiting assessment, or suspect you might be neurodivergent. Our approach focuses on understanding your unique strengths and challenges, developing coping strategies, and building self-awareness and confidence.
